Up for consideration is an early 20th century barrister stacking bookcase from the Grand Rapids Michigan Furniture Association. Made from oak with two shelves and lower drawer for storage. Circa 1890s.

The Grand Rapids Furniture Manufactures’ Association was organized June 13, 1881, for the purpose of promoting the mutual interests of the manufacturers and dealers in fine furniture. Between the 1880s-1890s Grand Rapids was the furniture capital of the world specializing in only the finest crafted furniture.

The Grand Rapids Furniture Association trademarked the GRM triangle with intent to protect Grand Rapids furniture.
