Description
John Stuart was an iconic designer who started his roots in 1934 with high-end Designer Showrooms in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They specialized in Early English, Georgian, American, and French Revivals and reproductions, as well as Modern residential furniture made from Grand Rapids factories. The company remained in business until 1956. Around that time he began designing furniture for companies such as Mt. Airy and Finn Juhl.
This beautiful Queen Anne breakfront was designed by him during his time working for Mt. Airy Furniture in the 1960s. Made from a distressed walnut with 6 cabriole legs showing trifold feet. A lovely scalloped accent can be seen at the apex of each leg.
This breakfront is part of an entire dining room suite from an estate in Dayton, Ohio
