Description
Antique Scicilian Carretto carved and folk art painted wooden panel originally the rear-most side of a donkey or small horse cart. The vertical posts would slot into matching holes on the floor of the cart. The center portion shows Saint George slaying the dragon and is flanked on each side by ballerinas in blue tutus. Around the edge above these images are carved flowers and dragons. Converted to be used as a hanging art sculpture.
